๐ต Where the Magic (Allegedly) Happens
The song editor lets you go full rock star & mess with text-based chord charts. (You're welcome.) This screen's got all the doodads you need to create & tweak your chord masterpieces:
The Bleepin' Menu Bar
The menubar's got all the tools to help you edit your chord chart like you actually know what you're doin'. Plus, you can tap "Done" to save your genius, or hit "Cancel" if you realize you've made a terrible mistake. (We won't judge. Much.)
Text Editor Extravaganza
Basically the whole screen is just a text editor. It shows your song file so you can edit it. Tap in there & use the on-screen keyboard & the quick chord bar to make changes. Srsly, it's not rocket science.
Quick Chord Bar (aka Your New Best Friend)
The quick chord bar chills above the keyboard & gives you buttons to yeet chords & symbols into your chart lickety-split.
On-Screen Keyboard (aka The Tiny Piano)
When you tap into the text editor, boom โ on-screen keyboard appears. This section's gonna break down all the weird quirks of that keyboard that might actually help you. You're welcome.
Compact Mode (aka Phone Squeeze)
Using the Song Editor on a dinky lil' device? Don't worry, the interface gets all compressed so you still get the full power of the song editor in your grubby little hands.
PSA: The conversion toolbar ghosted us & is no longer part of the song editor. You can rip text & swap file formats using context menus inside the Attachments Menu instead. Srsly.
The on-screen keyboard & arrow keys are basically invisible when you're editin' on devices without multitouch, like a Mac. Plot twist: it's kinda on purpose.
